PIPE ORGAN
THE PIPE ORGAN at Covenant Presbyterian was originally designed for and installed at the Green Ridge Presbyterian Church in 1960 by the Schlicker Organ Company, Buffalo, N. Y. In 1981 the Green Ridge Presbyterian Church congregation merged with the congregation of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
The congregations agreed to use the Westminster Presbyterian Church building for their house of worship. This new congregation chose to take on the new name of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Discussion began to move the Schlicker organ from the Green Ridge building to the Covenant building. During 1985 the Schilcker organ was redesigned for and moved to the Covenant Church building by the Schlicker Organ Company. During the redesigning process the organ was enlarged. This was accomplished by utilizing several of the ranks and pipes from the existing organ in the Westminster Church building, a four manual Austin in need of costly repairs.
